An Open Letter To Trolls

[caption id=”attachment_4283” align=”alignleft” width=”240” caption=”Do Not Feed The Trolls”]No Trolls Allowed[/caption]

Troll (noun) someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community and likes to hide behind the anonymity of the internet.

Dear Trolls,

Please note, this site is run by only one person. However, I closely monitor ALL messages and comments. Please do not be fooled into thinking that you will be allowed to post your bile on this site.

While I appreciate that Michael Sheen is not to everyone’s taste, is there really so little happening in your life that you need to hunt down a fansite dedicated to him to critique his work. I would not even mind if it had been constructive criticism, but it wasn’t.

I am a huge and long time Michael Sheen, and I have seen pretty much everything he has done, but I am not so blinded by adoration to like everything . His back catalogue is so varied that there was bound to be something I don’t like.  I get it - there are somethings he has done that you don’t like either, but leaving a comment that was deliberately inflammatory was quite unnecessary.

The old adage “if you have not got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” applies here.

I operate a strict no tolerance on internet Trolls, so please go back to hiding under your bridge. Your comments will be blocked, your email blacklisted, and the Morrigan will be informed.

Few Options Trailer added to Gallery and US DVD release

Few Options is a film that features a small cameo of Michael Sheen as a florist. The film centres around ex-con Frank Connor (Kenny Johnson - Sons of Anarchy), who is fresh out of prison and trying to stayout of trouble.

It had a small US theatrical release last summer, but so far, I have not heard of any plans for a UK release. It is being released in the US on DVD on 24 January. You can pre-order it on DVD from Amazon.com.  It is not available on Amazon.co.uk at this time.

A copy of the trailer has been added to the Project Page and to the Video Library. Please click on the thumbnail below.

Derren Brown shows Michael Sheen his portrait

Michael Sheen views his portrait painted by Derren BrownThis evening, Derren Brown made a post on his blog where he detailed the full process of his portrait of his friend Michael Sheen.Apparently, Michael was very pleased with the picture, but for some reason, Derren asked him not to smile too much in this photo.

Derren goes on to say that he did not paint the picture for Michael, but he may give him a print of it. Derren’s work is usually sold through a gallery exhibition.

You can view Derren’s blog HERE.

All the pictures Derren posted as the work was in progress have been added to the gallery and you can view them HERE.

What are your thoughts on the picture?

Download of Michael Sheen on Wittertainment’s Live Christmas show

Michael Sheen on Wittertainment LiveWittertainment, the Radio 5 Live film review show with Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo, had a live Christmas Special show this afternoon at Prince Charles Cinema in London.

Michael Sheen made an appearance as a special guest. He talked about his energetic Hamlet performance, and even performed a little scene including a member of the Leicester Square audience. A download of the full show is available on Wittertainment website.

The show was also aired via webcam live. Unfortunately, I didn’t realise this until the show was half way through so was unable to capture it. If this footage turns up, I will obviously add a copy to the site.

A download of just the portion Michael Sheen was in has been added to the site’s Downloads catalogue, or you can click on the button below.

Lost Picture Show podcast from 2009

The Lost Picture Show with Michael SheenThe Lost Picture Show is a website that offers a weekly podcast that uncovers and celebrates forgotten movies. The presenters, Julian and John, take it in turns to present a film for discussion that they feel never got the recognition it deserved.

Back in 2009, they spoke to Michael Sheen about a rather obscure film called The Reincarnation of Peter Proud, a 1975 sci-fi movie in which a college professor begins to experience flashbacks from a previous incarnation, and he is mysteriously drawn to a place he has never been before but which is troublingly familiar. He soon finds himself in the company of his previous incarnation’s wife.

The podcast is available to download from their website, and a copy has also been added to the site’s Download catalogue.

Derren Brown’s portrait of Michael Sheen - A WIP update

I know I only posted yesterday that illusionist and artist Derren Brown planned that the next portrait he was to paint would be that of Michael Sheen.

Well, it seems Derren is not only gifted, but quick too. He started posting some Work In Progress images almost immediately, with a few more today. I have added them to a folder in the Gallery.

You can view them by following the Gallery link below, or alternatively click on the thumbnail previews.
